Amber alert issued for missing baby from Independence, MO

UPDATE:  The child has been located in Kansas City.  He is safe and with family.

INDEPENDENCE, MO (KTVI) – An amber alert has been issued in connection with a child abduction in Independence, Missouri. The Missouri Highway Patrol says that 9-month-old Syncere Lee Valiant was taken by Robert Valiant, 31, this morning at around 10:45am.

Police say Valiant is driving a 2003 Pontiac, Grand-Am with Missouri registration, DL3V3F. The vehicle has a black over red paint job.  He is described as 6’1″ tall, 170 lbs, black hair, brown eyes, light complexion, with and visible neck tattoo.

Anyone having any information related to the abduction should immediately dial 911 to contact the nearest law enforcement agency or call the Independence police department at 816-836-3600.
