Illinois woman sentenced in ecstasy distribution ring

EAST ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – A 29-year-old Carterville woman was sentenced earlier this week for her role in a drug distribution ring, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois Donald Boyce said Friday.

According to prosecutors, Natasha Mann pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute nearly 12,000 tablets of MDMA (3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine), also known as ecstasy.

The crime occurred in Williamson County from December 2015 to March 2016.

Mann was sentenced to five years imprisonment and three years of probation.

Williamson County is located about 110 miles southeast of St. Louis.
