Cardinals Earn Dramatic 3-2 Win over Giants


The Cardinals went into the ninth inning of Saturday’s game against the Giants trailing 2-1. By the time the half inning had ended, the Redbirds had a 3-2 lead, thanks to a game tieing single by Randal Grichuk and a go ahead sac fly by Kolten Wong. Seung Hwan Oh closed down the Giants in the bottom of the ninth and the Cardinals had a dramatic 3-2 victory. The win ends the Cards three game losing streak and moves them to within two games of both the Giants and the Mets in the NL Wild Card race. Brendan Moss accounted for the Cardinals other run with his 27th home run of the season in the first inning.

Alex Reyes starts on the mound for the Cardinals on Sunday as they trey to split the four game series in San Francisco and keep the heat on the Giants in the wild card race.
