Blues sign Alexander Steen to four year contract extension

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - The St. Louis Blues announced Friday that the team has signed forward Alexander Steen to a four-year contract extension worth $23 million.

Steen, 32, will be starting his ninth season in St. Louis. He came to the team via trade from Toronto in November 2008.  In 2015-16, the forward dressed in 67 regular season games, ranking second on the Blues with 35 assists and 52 points, and fifth with 17 goals.

Steen is a Winnipeg, Manitoba native who was drafted 24th overall by Toronto in 2002.
