Open your mind, open your homes with Gateway Pet Guardian

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)- It’s time to open your heart and open your home. Jamie Case, Executive Director of Gateway Pet Guardian stopped by with the fall litter. That’s right, eleven beautiful Lab-mix puppies were in our studios looking for forever homes!

Acorn, Autumn Breeze, Chestnut, Chilly, Cider, Corn, Feast, Hayride, Leaf, Pine Cone, Pumpkin Pie came from a concerned resident and have been a barrel of fun sine they arrived to their foster homes. The little guys, and one girl, just can’t catch a break.

Case says in their short eight weeks of life, they have been ridden with numerous medical ailments. But, Gateway Pet Guardians nursed them back to health!

Numerous puppies have been diagnosed with coccidia (coccidiosis), parvo (parvovirus) andringworm. When a large litter theirs becomes ill with very contagious viruses, it becomes quite costly to our organization.

That’s why they need your help!

The entire GPG family is keeping their fingers and paws crossed that the spread of these illnesses is minimal. Today, we have four of these babies hospitalized from parvo (Leaf, Acorn, Hayride and Pine Cone), numerous on medication for coccidia and all eleven being treated for ringworm.

They are very thankful for the foster families that take these homeless pets into their homes and treat them as their own. They all have foster homes that are caring for them regardless of illness.
