Car strikes, kills pedestrian on southeast Missouri highway

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. (AP) – Authorities say a pedestrian has been killed while crossing a highway in southeast Missouri.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a car struck 26-year-old Charles R. Colbert III, of Wappapello, on Sunday night on Route T in Butler County. The Butler County Coroner pronounced him dead at the scene.

The car’s driver wasn’t hurt.
