ST. CHARLES, MO (KTVI) - The potential closing of a catholic school in St. Charles is being questioned by parents Wednesday night. They want to know why a seemingly successful school may soon shut down.

Right now about 150 kids attend Saint Peter school from kindergarten to 8th grade.

Parents say they knew there had been a gradual decline of students over the years, but there was no warning the school was at the point of closing.

Tonight parents met in a closed door meeting with the parish board. Many are worried that if the school closes the parish will soon close.

The archdiocese says at this point, no decisions have been made.
