Blues Win Home Opener, 3-2 over Wild, Off to 2-0 Start

The Blues are off to a 2-0 start in their 50th season in the NHL. Their latest victory came in their home opener on Thursday night at Scottrade Center, 3-2 over the Minnesota Wild. Alexander Steen opened the scoring in the first period. New Blue Nail Yakupov scored his first goal with his new team to give St. Louis a 2-1 lead. Magnus Paajarvi scored a third period goal to make it a 3-1 lead. Jake Allen stopped 19 shots to win his second straight game.
