Shalom Church City of Peace hosts 16th Annual Health Fest

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)- Shalom Church City of Peace held its 16th Annual Health Fest this Saturday in Hazelwood.

The church offered free health screenings at Hazelwood East High School. Healthcare professionals performed various services, including mammograms, dental exams, HIV testing and flu shots.

The fest comes as the country recognizes October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Mental health professionals and healthcare employers were also on site to conduct job interviews for people interested in working in healthcare.

The health fest typically serves more than 800 people each year.

The event took place from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Hazelwood East High School located at 11300 Dunn Road.
