St. Louis police investigate six separate shootings over the weekend

ST. LOUIS (KTVI) - It’s been a violent weekend in the City of St. Louis. Police are investigating at least six separate shootings that left three people dead and one in critical condition.

The shootings occurred in both north , south and west areas of the city, from early Saturday morning to Sunday morning.

Investigators said a man in his 30s was shot early Saturday morning in the 3400 block of Giles. The victim was brought to an area hospital with a gunshot wound to the stomach. He was listed in stable condition.

Late Saturday night, homicide detectives responded to a shooting north St. Louis. Around 10:30 p.m. in the 6000 block of Cates. Police found a man inside an apartment with a gunshot wound to the head. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Another deadly shooting happened overnight around 1 a.m. in the 4400 block of Farlin. The victim, a male in his late teens, was shot in the head and pronounced dead at the scene.

Just a few hours later ,another male victim was gunned down   on Samuel Shepard drive at Huntley around 4 a.m. Sunday. Homicide is handing the investigation.

Police are also investigating two other shootings: one involving an attempt robbery near Natural Bridge and Goodfellow, and a man shot in the head in the 3600 hundred block of Louisiana.
