‘Sweet Divine’ cupcake shop owners vow to stay open after devastating fire

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - The owners of the Sweet Divine Shop have been through a lot in the last few years. They say a morning fire won't stop them from living their dream. This after a 1st alarm fire started in a decorating room just after 10am Monday at their shop on the corner of 9th and Soulard.

The business moved to Soulard four years ago. After multiple break-ins the owners say this fire is proving one thing. They won't give up and plan to use their food truck to keep customers rolling in.

"I saw on Twitter, a customer tweeted to us asking if we were OK. Having no idea of what happened. Then I was hit with a Periscope video of the fire department. Smoke is coming out of the building. That's how I found out about our fire," said owner Jenna Siebert.

At this point, there's no date to reopen the shop. Bakers will be working overtime in the food truck that will be parked outside of their shop. Luckily there were no injuries.
