Kevin Hart talks new special: ‘What Now?’

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)- Kevin Hart's new special "What Now?" is in theaters. The film, which opened in the United States on October 14th, is a  follow-up to his 2013 hit stand-up concert movie, Let Me Explain.

The comedic-rock star shot the special in his hometown at Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field.

Guess what? He funded it himself and the venue sold out! Over 53,000 tickets were sold within a two-week-period. It's the first time a comedian has performed to an at-capacity football stadium.

Hart says he wanted to do what's never been done within the realm of stand up comedy. "I am a comedian who's not afraid to push the envelope and try new things."

The record breaker joined us live via satellite with more on his biggest comedy tour in history!

FOX 2 had an exclusive ride along with Kevin Hart and Ice Cube when the stars came to St. Louis back in December. Kevin Steincross gave them a tour of the city and visited places such as the Gateway Arch and Ronnie's Theater. Hart even tried toasted ravioli and frozen custard from Ted Drewes!

According to CNN, What Now? features filmed comedy sequences but it's all about the stand up. The special is based on Hart's real life experiences.
