Blues Suffer First Loss of Season, Falling 2-1 in OT at Vancouver

The Blues were two minutes and 55 seconds away from their fourth straight win to start the 2016-17 season. Instead St. Louis suffered it’s first loss, 2-1 in overtime to the Canucks on Tuesday night in Vancouver. Vladimir Tarasenko scored in the second period, his fourth tally of the year to give the Blues a 1-0 lead. It looked like that 1-0 score would hold up, but the Canucks tied the game at 17:05 of the third period on Bo Horvat’s goal. Henrik Sedin’s goal 1:40 into overtime won the game for the Canucks. The Blues still get one point for sending the game to overtime , giving them a 3-0-1 record.

The Blues road trip in western Canada continues on Thursday night in Edmonton, when the Note play the Oilers.
