ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - There is a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of the viewing area in Missouri until 8:00pm. The only real threat with this storm is some marginally severe hail, up to about 1" in diameter.

Scattered showers and few storms will develop from southwest to northeast Wednesday. Coverage of rainfall will increase as we move past midday into the afternoon. Still, it will not be raining all day. Instead, rain will come in intervals.

The only place I have any concerns for severe weather is south of St. Louis, through only the most southern portions of the viewing area from Reynolds County over to Perry County. Elsewhere severe weather is not expected.

Temperatures will be in the 60s northwest of I-44 through metro St. Louis and along and north of I-70 in Illinois.
