ST. LOUIS (KTVI) - A new mobile app is making it easier for property owners to pay taxes in St. Louis.

The PayIt St. Louis app will allow residents to pay, manage, and receive alerts about accounts.

“Taxes are never easy to pay. So we’re trying to make it as easy as possible,” Collector of Revenue Gregory Daly said.

St. Louis city property taxes are arriving in the mail this week. Daly said residents may continue to pay their bills in person, over the phone or online.

But he said the app provides an added convenience.

“It’s very important for us, when you get ready to pay your taxes, that we’re there for you,” Daly said. “So at 3 o’clock in the morning, and all of the sudden, you’re thinking, ‘Well, I think I’ll pay my taxes today – it’s there for you.”

PayIt St. Louis can be found on iTunes and Google Play.

The app is free, but there is a charge if it is used on a payment cycle, he said.
