Man sentenced in biting of Neosho officers

NEOSHO, Mo. (AP) _ A 35-year-old man charged with biting two Neosho police officers while knowing he was HIV-positive has pleaded guilty.

The Joplin Globe (http://bit.ly/2fJ0kPs ) reports Oscran Aquino pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of second-degree assault on Monday. Aquino was placed on five years of supervised probation and was ordered to continue receiving counseling.

Court documents say Aquino bit the officers while they were trying to take him into custody on Oct. 26, 2015.
