ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)- St. Louis natives can now start a new holiday tradition at the beloved Six Flags theme park. For the first time in the park’s 45 year history, Six Flags will remain open during the holidays.

The park embraces the holiday cheer with nearly 400 Christmas trees and over a million lights beautifully displayed throughout the park. With more than half of the rides still operational, attendees can enjoy their favorite attractions as well as new ones including a live nativity show and a christmas tree light show.

Six Flags Holiday in the Park opened Friday, November 25th, and will run through December. 2016 season passes still apply throughout this event.

Six Flags spokesperson Elizabeth Gotway joined FOX 2 this morning to discuss the holiday event.
