Ballwin to award Ofc. Michael Flamion Medal of Valor

BALLWIN, MO (KTVI)- Ballwin Police Chief Kevin Scott will present the Law Enforcement Purple Heart and Medal of Valor to paralyzed Officer Michael Flamion during a special ceremony at the Pointe at Ballwin Commons.

Flamion was shot and paralyzed from the neck down during a traffic stop in July. He spent almost three months at a rehab clinic in Colorado.

The ceremony was originally slated to take place at a board of aldermen meeting  at the Ballwin Police Department, but was moved to accommodate an expected larger crowd.
