GRANITE CITY, IL (KTVI)-More than 200 jobs are returning to U.S. Steel in Granite City. The company will begin processing slabs on the currently idled hot strip mill in Granite City in mid-February of 2017.

That mill was idled in January 2016.

The mayor says the reason for the recall is a recent ruling by the international trade commission, which gives workers in the U.S. a more level playing field against cheap foreign steel.
