FLORISSANT, MO (KTVI) - Someone called police a little before 7 a.m. Thursday morning from inside a home on Apache Court in Florissant for a report about a domestic violence incident.  A woman was found dead inside the home when police arrived on the scene.

Police believe the woman's husband may have killed her with their children in the home. They believe the person who called them is the woman's husband.

The medical examiner has been called to the investigation. Investigators have not revealed many details about this case. But, they say, a man is in custody.

A baby and a toddler were in the home at the time. They are not hurt and are now safe.

There is a large police presence outside the home. Police tape is up around the perimeter of the house. The tape continues to a nearby home. An article of clothing was found at that location.  Police are also looking in a car parked in the driveway.

Neighbors say they have heard the man and the woman arguing in the past. During one incident, neighbors say, the man threw the woman onto the hood of the car.

Many of the details in this case have yet to be released. Police say they are contacting the family of the victim before releasing any more information.
