LAKE ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly pedestrian accident that shutdown Interstate-70 westbound near Bryan Road in Lake St. Louis Tuesday night.
Troopers said that around 6 pm a person ran out on the highway getting in the path of a car traveling westbound.
Authorities said, the person was hit and thrown into another lane before two more cars ran the person over.
Traffic was at a standstill for nearly three hours before some drivers sitting idle closer to the scene were allowed to pass while others were rerouted to an outer road.
As of Tuesday night, troopers were continuing to investigate the deadly accident.
No information on a name, age or gender was available immediately.
