ST. LOUIS — Police officers in St. Louis County are getting pay raises next year. County Executive Steve Stenger and Police Chief Jon Belmar outlined the pay raise plan.

First year officers will make $52,000 a year. The pay structure tops out at $77,000 with 15-years of service.

Money for the increases comes from Proposition P. The sales tax approved by voters in April.
