Person rescued from Mississippi River near St. Louis riverfront

ST. LOUIS – There was an early morning water rescue on the Mississippi River near the St. Louis Riverfront. Around 4 a.m., a person fell into the water between two barges on south First Street, south of the brewery.

The St. Louis Police Marine Unit and the Fire Department were called.

That person was rescued about a thirty minutes later.
