Be The Match is the face of the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP). The Be The Match Registry is the world’s largest listing of potential marrow donors and donated cord blood units.

Cody Schanuel was a normal college student adjusting to his freshman year at Mizzou when in February 2011 everything changed. Cody had felt some swollen glands in his neck area for a few weeks. He saw a doctor, several in fact, and was diagnosed him with Hodgkin's Lymphoma.

Cody underwent chemotherapy. In August, doctors were convinced his cancer was in remission.

Unfortunately three weeks later, his lymph nodes started to swell again and doctors found his cancer had relapsed quickly.Cody will soon receive a bone marrow or peripheral blood stem cell transplant from an anonymous donor on the Be The Match registry. To potentially help Cody or others like him, head to a Be The Match registry event Thursday, February 16, from 3:00-8:00pm at TR's Place in Belleville, IL. The address is 4901 Concordia Church Road.
