Two People Killed In Overnight Car Crashes

A St.  Louis teen is dead after a car crash in Jefferson County.  The incident happened around 7:20pm Friday night on Highway 141 near Cecos Ln.  The driver, 18 year old Amy Bruenger, was driving northbound on 141 when she failed to negotiate a curve, struck a guardrail, and went off the left side of the road.  The car overturned, throwing Bruenger , who was not wearing a seatbelt , from the car. She was pronounced dead at St. Anthony’s Hospital.

Her passenger in the car, 16 year old Gregory Wisely of Fenton, MO, suffered moderate injuries in the crash and taken to the hospital.  He was also not wearing a seat belt.

Another Missouri woman is dead after her car ran off the road in Washington County. The driver, Stephanie A. Hochstatter, of Mineral Point, MO, was driving on Route U just north of Zinc Mine Road just after midnight Saturday when the car went off the right side of the road. The 29 year old overcorrected and ended up driving off the left side of the road, striking an embankment, and overturning.  Hochstatter was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle.

Hochstatter was taking to Washington County Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
