The St. Louis Blues traded goalie Ben Bishop to the Ottawa Senators on
Sunday for a second-round draft pick in 2013. Bishop, who stands 6’ 7”, has been among the best goalies in the American Hockey League this season, playing for the Peoria Rivermen.

The Senators lost goalie Craig Anderson a week ago after he severed a tendon in his right hand while preparing food.

Bishop would have become a free agent this summer but agreed to a one-year extension as part of Sunday’s trade.
