A father is thinking about taking the law into his own hands  after he says someone shot his two- year-old daughter. The little girl was shot in the foot and will be okay.   This happened around midnight Saturday night at the Cara Apartments on Delmar near Debaliviere.

The girl's father says she was on the fifth floor when a bullet sailed into their apartment. Briah Hodges is only two years old.  Her foot was bandaged up Sunday night with nine stitches underneath it. The  father says she was sitting on a bed with her feet dandling and her older sister next to her when the girl's grandmother heard a loud pop. At first the grandmother thought it was some sort of an electrical shock , but Sunday the family found a bullet inside their 5th story apartment. So they have contacted police. The girl's father is Bernard Hodges.

He believes the shot came in the apartment at a straight angle which leads him to believe it came from an upper floor apartment from a building nearby. Police are still investigating  and say its too soon for them to comment on what happened. Briah is headed to Chuckee Cheeze with her family to help her forget about what happened.
