JACKSON, Mo. (AP) – Relatives of Jacque Waller say that nine
months after the southeast Missouri mother of triplets disappeared,
they remain optimistic that charges will be filed in the case.
Waller was last seen June 1 after the leaving the home of her
estranged husband, Clay Waller, in the town of Jackson. Authorities
say she is presumed dead. Her blue Honda sport utility vehicle was
later found abandoned near Fruitland, a few miles away.
Authorities have labeled Clay Waller a person of interest in the
disappearance, but no charges have been filed. However, Clay Waller
is serving a five-year term in federal prison after pleading guilty
to threatening Jacque Waller’s sister in an Internet posting.
The couple’s triplets, now 6 years old, are living with Jacque
Waller’s sister in St. Francois County.
