If you think politics is a full-contact sport, then one race could be for you. Incumbent liberal democratic Congressman Russ Carnahan and incumbent liberal democratic Congressman William Lacy Clay could very probably end up running against each other in this August’s democratic primary. Clay is black. Carnahan is white. Because St. Louis has a history of nasty racial politics observers say this could peel the scab right off of the city's festering racial sores.

Plus, Missouri's death penalty gets a fresh look from the American Bar Association. Unlike elsewhere, their study did not call for a moratorium on Missouri executions. How come?
