High School Students Turn Fryer Grease Into fuel

(KTVI)-- Prices at the pump have hit the four dollar mark in some of parts of the metro area.

Alternative fuel sources are now on the minds of many and at Rockwood Summit High School they are doing more than just talking about this.  They are experimenting with biodiesel fuels.

Darrin Peters science class is taking used fryer grease and turning it into fuel.

The class uses the fuel in 2000 Jetta.  The car averages about 54 miles per gallon.
