Lance Lynn started on the mound for St. Louis and pitched five innings allowing just one run. Lynn is scheduled to be the emergency starter when the regular season starts if Chris Carpenter is not able to pitch with his neck soreness. Fernando Salas loaded the bases in the 9th inning, but was able to pick up the save.
