ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – After a few months of retirement, Tony LaRussa is ready to take a trip down memory lane. The former Cardinals Skipper will be featured in a book chronicling his prolific career that spans more than 30 years.

The book, “One Last Strike: 50 Years in Baseball, Ten and a Half Games Back, and One Final Championship Season,” (yes, that’s the whole title) is scheduled for release this fall.

It will be co-written by long-time St. Louis Post-Dispatch Sports reporter Rick Hummel.  LaRussa’s career includes three World Championships, two with Cardinals.
