1940 Census Data Crashes Website

(KTVI)-Records from the 1940 census were made available Monday for the first time and millions of Americans hopped on the website containing never before released information to search their family history.

So many people accessed the site the servers for the National Archives and records administration crashed.  A spokesperson says the site got 22 and a half million hits on the site, in the first three hours of being online.
