Coyotes Hand Blues 4th Straight Loss, 4-1

The Phoenix Coyotes moved into first place in the NHL’s Pacific Division and handed the Blues their fourth straight loss winning 4-1 on Friday night at Scottrade Center. Phoenix got goals from Keith Yandle, Radim Vrbata, Shane Doan and Mikkel Boedker. Coyotes goalie Mike Smith stopped 31 Blues shots. The only goal scorer for St. Louis was Patrik Berglund. His 19th goal of the season tied the game at one in the first period.

The Blues still sit with 107 points and trail the Canucks by two points with one game to play. St. Louis plays at Dallas Saturday night. They will know their first round playoff opponent later on Saturday night. Game times for the playoffs will be announced on Sunday by the NHL.
