Blues Opening Round Playoff Schedule Announced

The St. Louis Blues will face the San Jose Sharks in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs. The teams meet in St. Louis Thursday night, April 12, at 6:30pm at Scottrade Center for the first game of the Best of 7 series.  Game 2 will be Saturday night, April 14, at 6:30pm, also at Scottrade Center. The team then head to the Shark Tank in San Jose for games on Monday, April 16, and Thursday, April 16.

Game 5, if necessary, will be Saturday, April 21 back in St. Louis.  Game 6 would be held April 23 in San Jose and game 7 on April 25 in St. Louis.

The Blues finished second in the Western Conference behind only the Vancouver Canucks.  The team is Central Division Champions and finished with 109 points.

Goalies Jaroslav Halak and Brian Elliott have combined to win their first William Jennings Trophy as the goaltenders on the team allowing the fewest goals during the 2011-12 regular season.
