(KTVI) -This season, every home run the Cardinals hit can make a difference in the lives of children. The St. Louis Cardinals and SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center have teamed up for Homers for Health. Fans can make a pledge for every home run hit by a Cardinals player during the 2012 regular season. The proceeds will support efforts at SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center.

Hollyberry Catering has created a nutritious snack bar that helps the kids of Cardinal Glennon, with all net proceeds of sales going directly to Homers for Health. You can find “Home Run Bars” at Dierbergs stores for a limited time.

Cardinal Glennon’s Rally Squirrel playground opens this Thursday at 10:00am. FOX 2 will be there. There will also be a telethon that day from 5:00am until 10:00pm where you can phone in your pledge for Homers For Health.
