ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - Who best actress on the planet? In my book it is Meryl Streep. Her latest Oscar-winning performance comes out on DVD Tuesday.  Meryl plays Margerat Thatcher in the movie, "The Iron Lady". I heard an interview with Meryl streep on NPR and she said that one of the keys to playing Margaret Thatcher was to lower the register of her voice and to speak in long sentences rarely taking a breath. I guess if you're speaking before parliament, that's how you have to roll. Her protrayal is uncanny.

Whitney Houston made a handful of movies. But her biggest by far, and the one that started her acting career, was "The Bodyguard" also starring alongside Kevin Costner.  The bodyguard opened in theatres 20 years ago.   On this 20 year anniversary, it's being released for the first time on blu-ray. Was this a great movie?  No.   But it certainly was a great showcase for her talent. Few light up the screen like Whitney Houston.

A classic also comes out on high-def for the first time today as well. Marlon Brando and Vivien Leigh star in a streetcar named desire.  The movie was baserd on a book written by St. Louisan  Tennessee Williams.

The movie was released 60 years ago.  If you've never seen it, or haven't seen it in years. Now's the time to pick up Streetcar.
