(CNN) - The Mexican Navy and a team of helpers rescued a beached whale Sunday.  Nearly 200 people led by members of the navy, pulled the 12 ton, 24 foot long whale back into the waters in Oaxaca.

Officials say the five year old whale injured its tail; but was able to swim out to sea after being guided back into the water.
