ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - Dolly Parton and Queen Latifah are two singers/actors who are larger than life. They make beautiful music together and go toe-to-toe against each other in the movie Joyful Noise. Even though they are big stars they are both so down to earth. As for the movie, it's not the best in the world. But it's definitely worth a look on dvd. For the music alone it is outstanding.
That movie has two big stars but my next one has a cast of a thousands of big stars. It's called "New Year's Eve". There are too many stars for just one movie so there is no character development. But, if you want total fluff then "New Year's Eve" is your movie.
I have one movie that went straight to DVD which normally not a good sign. But this one is worth a look if you're a fan of country music. It's a sequel to the Tim McGraw film that came out a few years ago called simply, "Flicka". It is good family entertainment and you get to see Clint Black can act as well as he can sing.
