Carlos Beltran was in a slump. Just 3 for his last 31. In his own words, Beltran say he was “lost”. Consider him to be “found”. Beltran was 4-5 in Wednesday’s 12-3 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates. He hit 2 home runs and drove in 7, which was a career high.

Lance Lynn had 12 runs of support before he took the mound in the fourth inning. Lynn went 6 and 2/3 innings giving up just 2 runs and ran his record to 5-0.

The Cardinals now 16-8 go for the sweep on Thursday afternoon.
