KIRKWOOD, MO (KTVI)-- With just weeks left in the school year, several Kirkwood High School employees are missing several days of work after being suspended for violating school policy

A letter went home to parents, notifying them that the staff members were involved with a May 4th incident that violated district policy.

Students were not involved, but the teachers are being disciplined according to policy.

To protect teachers’ privacy the district cannot disclose what the teachers did. But with the teachers out of school, the rumors were flying around campus.

The students say it is unfortunate timing since many of them are studying for the college advance placement tests.

None of the teachers have been fired. They are only suspended.

The district would not reveal exactly how many teachers were involved.

The length of their suspensions varies from student to student.
