Phillies outfielder Hunter Pence hit a two run home run in the top of the 10th inning to give Philadelphia a 5-3 extra inning win over the Cardinals on Friday night at Busch Stadium. It’s the second consecutive win for the Phillies over the Redbirds.

For the Cardinals, it was another blown save, their eighth of the season as they blew a 3-2 seventh inning lead when the Phillies Juan Pierre doubled home pitcher Cliff Lee to tie the game at 3-3.

The Cardinals nearly retook the lead in the eighth inning when rookie 1st baseman Matt Adams doubled for his third hit of the game, but the Phils relay home cut down Yadier Molina at the plate after a violent collision between Molina and Philadelphia catcher Carlos Ruiz. Rafael Furcal homered in the game, his third long ball of the season tied the game at 2-2.

Game three of the Phillies at Cardinals series can be seen right here on Fox 2 on Saturday. The “Red Zone” pre game show starts at 5:30 pm, followed by the game itself at 6:00 pm.
