CHICAGO (AP) -Authorities say a 52-year-old Chicago man has been charged in the shooting deaths of his two roommates. Michael Myrieckes faces first-degree murder charges in the deaths of 49-year-old Lori Inman and 68-year-old Avelino Sanchez.

They were found 9:30 p.m. Friday. It was immediately unclear if Myrieckes had an attorney. He is due in bond court Sunday. The Cook County medical examiner’s office says the two victims died from shotgun wounds to the chest. Sanchez was also shot in the
neck. Police say officers were called to the scene Friday by a friend of Myrieckes. Whenthey arrived he refused to come out of the house, triggering a hostage-barricade situation. Chicago police spokesman Hector Alfaro says Myrieckes eventually
surrendered. After he was arrested, Sanchez and Inman were found inside.
