The injury bug continues as the Cardinals pitching collapsed in a 10-7 loss to the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday night.

Schumaker suffered a tight hamstring. The Cardinals suffered from pitching that wasn’t so tight. Kyle Lohse gave up five earned runs in five innings. The bullpen served up the other five runs. A Daniel Descalso rbi single in the sixth tied the game at five.

Freese dealing with a sprained wrist ended up pinch-hitting and playing third base. Beltran dealing with a sore knee delived a pinch-hit rbi single in the eighth.

The Cardinals are off on Thursday before a series with the Mets begins on Friday in New York.
