St. Louis Caretaker Facing Possible Murder Charges

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)-- A St. Louis caretaker faces possible murder charges following the death of man in her care.

Police say 48-year-old Darlene Coulibaly, of the 3800 block of Labadie, was charged with 1st degree Assault and Elderly Abuse. Additional charges could be filed pending an autopsy.

Police say officers found 67-year-old Howard Spracher inside his home in the 3800 block of Labadie. He was taken to an area hospital and pronounced dead.

Police say the victim had numerous injuries throughout his body and appeared to be malnourished.

Coulibaly, who was responsible for Spracher's care, was then located and taken into custody.

The investigation is on going.
