Teen Clings To Life After Being Shot In Head

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - St. Louis police department homicide investigators have taken over the case of a 14-year-old girl who was shot Sunday night in south St. Louis.   A police department spokesperson says the girl is in critical condition at a local hospital.

The shooting happened around 10:15 p.m. Sunday at Dunnica and Gustine.  Investigators say the 14 year old was shot in the head.

Police had much of the intersection taped off as they conducted their investigation.  The victim was outside when she was shot.

Witnesses said the victim was involved in an argument with several other people earlier in the day.

Investigators have not yet released the name of the girl who was shot.

A friend says the teen graduated from middle school this year and was looking forward to high school.
