Durbin Meets NFL Goddell On Bounty System

WASHINGTON, D.C. (CNN) - congress won't be getting involved in national football league rules.  Illinois Senator Dick Durbin met with NFL Commissioner Roger Goddell today to talk about bounties in professional sports.

He made the comments after the New Orleans saints bounty scandal came to light.
The meeting came after Durbin called on congress to examine whether a federal law was needed to make bounty systems illegal.
