JEFFERSON COUNTY, MO (KTVI)-- High speeds played a major factor in a crash that killed a couple in Jefferson County and closed down a major road for hours.
The Missouri Highway Patrol says a 17-year-old driver ran a red light at I-55 and Highway 61 Wednesday morning.
That driver side swiped another car getting off the interstate, killing the driver and passenger inside that vehicle.
The road was shut down for at least 4 hours.
The victims' names have not been released yet.
