Suspect Struck In Officer Involved Shooting

ST. LOUIS, MO - A man is rushed to the hospital after a three block foot chase where he was shot twice by a police officer and kept on running. 

It happened Wednesday afternoon in the area around St. Louis Avenue and Euclid in north city. 

Police say officers stopped three men walking down Maffit Avenue. 

One of the men allegedly pushed the officer and ran for it.    

Police say that cop saw a gun in the man's waistband and chased him.

The suspect allegedly pulled the gun out and shot at the officer twice. He took off.   

Police found him hiding under a porch. He was taken to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.

The officer was not injured in the shooting.
