MOORE HAVEN, FL. (CNN) - A Florida teen who came face to face with a 10 foot alligator makes a split second decision that saved his life. 17-year-old Kaleb Langdale was swimming in a river in Moore Haven Monday when a group of boys spotted a gator.
The gator headed straight at Kaleb.
After a brief struggle with the alligator, its jaw snapped down on Kaleb's arm and it was at that moment Kaleb knew it was either his life or his arm. So as the gator bit down on his arm, Kaleb pushed away from the gator with his feet until his arm broke free.
He then ran to shore.
